That 1990-1 GT has a doubled oil pan with a shaft running through it. Are you familiar with any problemos gettting that pan to NOT leak after the replacement piece goes up. My mech had never done one, but he is very experienced.? Any reasonablke comment you can give will be appreciated.

Im looking for tires&rims fro a 66 GTO, I want a classic look, but I need them to be wider than the tires that came stock on the vehicle. I'd like them to be at least 6" or wider... I replaced both rear quarters on a 66 gto. Since figured out the new quarters don't have the holes for the rocker panel extensions. Does anyone have a lay out for clips and a good way to cut the holes for them,I understand they are a oval shaped hole. Thanks Tim

Still Looking for a pair of 1967 GTO convertible quarter panels please read! I will pay $5,000 in cash on the spot for a pair of these panels!!! I am pleading to all those GTO parts collectors out there! I NEED YOU HELP NOW!!!! I am in the process of performing a true-museum retoration on a very rare all numbers matching 1967 GTO Royal Bobcat convertible car. There were only 13 produced in a convertible version in 1967!! When completed this car will never to be driven, but just a complete concourse trailer-queen restoration. This car is going to be restored using over 80% NOS parts which I have been accumulating over the past 5 years. Some of which are extremely rare and very difficult to locate. I have every piece of NOS sheet metal for thsi car except the rear quarters. No expense or corners will be spared to complete this project. The restoration will be performed by one of "THE TOP RESTORATION" companies in the country which already have restored three GTO's which all have gone on to win BEST of SHOW at the GTOAA Nationals, also restoring some of the rarest cars ever to be produced. We are right now persuing and trying to locate these panels. If you have these, know of someone who has them PLEASE let me know. I will provide a finders fee; even if you do not have these but know of someone who does provided that they sell these to me. I am very, very, serious to track these down. This restoration is by far the farthest away from any amateur or wannabe restoration. A great deal of time and energy has been put forth on this project and I really would like to complete this car the way is should be done using correct and not inferior parts due to the extreme rarity of this car. Did Pontiac offer a His or Hers shifter option in the 66-67 GTO? The trans was like a hydro-stick with a 4-speed shift patern, but it had a gate selector to move from stick to std auto-matic for her. Also, when you were in 4-speed stick it had a clutch... you could come out of the hole in 1st gear using the clutch, but you could shift through 2nd,3rd & 4th without using the clutch... therfore, you could not miss a shift, it was incredable. If anyone can add credable statements to this, I would really like to hear it... The other guys think Im wrong, even though I rode in this car back in the sixties, they don't believe me... please help me prove it to them to shut them up.... Thanks in advance - Joe S.

I have 1967 chevy impala ss 327, A/C power brakes Auto. I am replacing the heater core what fun that has been , had to replace all the duct hoses. Now i want to replace the blower motor which is noisey. Well it's been long time since i changed one and guess what i'd like to change this one but i can't locate the blower motor.... i do believe it's located somewhere inside the kick panel or behind the inner fender please tell me i'm wrong and i don't have to pull the fender off.

Still Looking for a pair of 1967 GTO convertible quarter panels please read! I will pay $5,000 for a pair of these panels!!! To all those GTO parts collectors out there! I NEED YOU HELP NOW!!!! I am in the process of performing a true-museum retoration on a very rare 1967 GTO Royal Bobact convertible car that when completed will never to be driven, but just a complete concourse trailer-queen restoration. This car is going to be restored using over 80% NOS parts which I have been accumulating over the past 5 years. Some of which are extremely rare and very difficult to locate. No expense or corners will be spared to complete this project. This restoration will be performed by one of "THE TOP RESTORATION" companies in the country which already have restored three GTO's which all have gone on to win BEST of SHOW at the GTOAA Nationals, also restoring some of the rarest cars ever to be produced. We are right now perusing and trying to locate these panels. If you have these, know of someone who has them PLEASE let me know. I recently installed my amp and subs in my gf's car and since then have been having problems. The electric windows wont go down, the front passenger turn signal light stays on solid even when car is turned off and key is out (in turn killin the battery all the time and needing to be jumped) the windshield wipers used to stay on constantly unless i took the fuse out.. i checked fuses for all these and have replaced any needing to be and the problems persist HELP ME !!

I am restoring a 67 GTO convert., 4speed/w console, & air car. I need some 760 heads. I have a 69XH block that is fresh w #62 heads that I will sell or trade for a WS 67 block. I also need the air components from the block back to the firewall. Any other parts for a nice driver would be helpful. The convertible top frame was stolen from storage & I found a manuel top frame. Of course I have all of the power top mechanisms because the top was already removed for the restoration. I have been painstakingly trying to find out if I can use the manuel top frame or is it completely different? Please help.

I have for sale a Blue 1968 Lemans Convertible cloned into a GTO with hidden headlights. It runs great with YD Block, has many new parts installed - top, brakes, tires, hoses, Hurst ratchet shifter, new stock exhaust etc. Also, many extra parts including new Pypes X-Crossover Exhaust and original Hurst Dual Gate Shifter with original console. ive got a 4.9L T/A and replaced the distr. alt. computer and timing chain and gears and it still wont start. at 180 out it flames out the carb. the rotor in the right direction it tries to start for a split sec. anyone with any tech tips in bringing this bird back to life it would be deeply appr.

Long story short, I am looking for a 1966 GTO (red exterior w/black 6 inch stripe above rocker panels, white top and interior, 4spd.) that I bought at the age of 14 years old and finally completed when I was 19 years old. Due to parental pressure I had to sell it. I live in Oklahoma and sold it to a guy in Fort Smith Arkansas. I am now 37 years old and am trying to track it down. I originally paid $66.00 for the car in a salvage yard. The guy sold it to me for $1.00 for every year after 1900. The car was all there but a basket case. I spent every waking hour, skipping school, telling girls to get lost, to restore that car. It was (and unfortunately) is still my life. I have to find it. Anyway, if you think your car might have any relation to my story please let me know. Yes, I would love to buy it but more importantly just want to keep track of it. I have a 66 GTO Hardtop and we are having tailight problems. The right tailight only works parttime. I guess I should clarify ,the RH parking lights work all the time but the signal and brake lights only seam to work when they want to , which is not very often. This has been an ongoing problem with several people looking at it and sometimes fixing it temporarily. If anyone has a permanent fix would sure like to hear from you and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone give me a answer, 71 gto a/c compressor stopped working. No power to compressor. Fuse is fine change several times with new one. Added freon to system only ran for about two minutes and stopped.

Hi, I am new to this forum and looking for some help. I am in the process of buying a 70 ram air III car that has been out of circulation since 1976. I have no reason to believe that it is not the original motor except for the location of the stamp. Most vins that I have seen stamped on Pontiac 400 motors run vertical, way down low on the stamp pad. This car has the vin stamped horizontally, on the far left of the pad, torwards the outer edge of where the head joins the block. It is visible from under the hood with the A/C compressor in place. This car has sat for so long and appears to be undisturbed, I can't imangine anyone going through the trouble of restamping the car and then trying to age it, So my question is, has anyone seen the vin stamped in this location? Any help would be greatly appreciated. John

I am looking for a pair of NOS or mint 1967 GTO convertible rear quarter panels. I am in the process of performing a true-museum never to be driven, trailer-queen restoration. This car is going to be restored using over 80% NOS parts that I have been accumulating over the past 5 years. Some of which are extremely rare and very difficult to locate. No expense or corners will be spared to complete this project. I have a 1969 Grand Prix, 54,000 original mile car. Has buckets, AC, manual windows (dark green interior is excellent+). Car was orig. light green, but is painted dark teal (older paint job) In nice original condition BUT no motor, but does have good trans. The body has next to no rust (the original owner kept it in a garage most of it's life!! Would like to trade for 1971 Grand Prix OR 1970-72 LeMans (with a motor or NO motor)!!?? I own a 1967 GTO. The problem Im having is this. On cold days I can start the carat any givin time. But on hot days, the car wont turn over. Nothing, no click or even a sound. But there is power throughout the car, lights, radio etc. The only way i can start it when this happens is to get a boost from somebody else. Anyone have a clue how to fix the problem?

i have had so many that i lost count on my 1992 pontaic grand prix le.....it has drained all my money working on that dam car......THAT IS THE WORST CAR EVER MADE. i hope that general moters has to get our of the car business. i know that it is broke now and cant get a loan because making a car that stays brokened all the time....I HATE THE WHOLE GENERAL MOTORS FOLD UP........I AM NOT ALONE....LETS ALL PRAY THAT GENERAL MOTORS GETS WHAT THEY HAVE PUT OUT AND KNEW DAY WELL THE 1992 PONTAIC GRAND PRIX LE WAS A LEMON FROM DAY ONE................... I HAVE A 1989 CHEVY CAMARO RS. A COUPLE MONTHS AGO I HAD TO HAVE THE IGNITION TUMBLERS REPLACED. COINCIDENTLY, RIGHT AFTER, MY HORN STOPPED WORKING. ALTHOUGH, I DIDN'T HONK THE HORN RIGHT BEFORE LEAVING MY CAR AT THE MECHANICS, SO I CAN'T BE SURE IF THERE IS A CONNECTION. ANYWAY, I THOUGHT I WOULD FIRST CHECK THE FUSE. THE FUSE PANEL DOES NOT LIST A HORN. MY HAYNES MANUAL DOES NOT HAVE THE WORD HORN ANYWHERE. I CALLED SELMAN CHEVROLET IN ORANGE CALIFORNIA, AND THE PARTS DEPARTMENT AND SERVICE DEPARTMENT WAS NOT SURE WHERE THE FUSE IS EITHER. I HAD TO BRING THE CAR IN FOR SERVICE. THE MECHANIC, BY PHONE, SUGGESTED THAT I TRY THE CIGERETT LIGHTER FUSE, BUT NONE OF THE FUSES WERE LISTED FOR THAT EITHER. THE MECHANIC SAID IT'S $80 MIN TO CHECK AND IF ITS A FUSE INSTALL IT. I WOULD LIKE TO BE ABLE TO TRY THAT MYSELF AS I AM USUALLY A HANDY PERSON, BUT I DON'T KNOW WHERE TO LOOK. I WOULD LIKE A DIAGRAM, OR BE DIRECTED TO WHERE TO CHECK. VISUAL DISPLAY WOULD BE BETTER THAN JUST WORDS, AS I MIGHT NOT BE FAMILIAR WITH ELECTRICAL/AUTOMOTIVE TERMS. KATHY

i am selling a classic, all original, complete 77' pontiac firebird with a strong 350 engine (original). car is in excellent condition with power windows. great car with little restoration. transmission needs to be rebuild. only asking $950.00 as is tags are up to date. must see to appreciate. the more I turn it on the higher the price might get. all it really needs is a transmission (rebuilt)and maybe a paint job with transmission rebuilt car will sell for $3000.00 california,
