(above) The new station is nearing
completion on March 11, 2003, leaving just a few more days more for Caltrain's
new Baby Bullet cars to stop at the old depot.
(right) On March 8, 2003, a week
before demolition, the station sits strips of its shingles and stucco under
the gaze of another relic from Sunnyvale's past, the Libby Cannery water
tower. The tower has been preserved and painted like a giant can of fruit
cocktail.
