1611. John Edward¹¹ Andrews (Evelyn Stiles¹⁰, Mary Rebecca⁹ Hough, Ira Hotchkiss⁸, Ira⁷, Sarah⁶ Royce, Amos⁵, Thankful⁴ Beach, Thomas³, John², ¹ Unknown) was born in Englewood, Bergen, NJ 20 November 1938.

He married Jane Templeton Wood 28 April 1961 in Schenectady, Schenectady, NY. Jane was born 22 March 1938 in Stratford, Fairfield, CT. Jane is the daughter of Donald Augustus Wood and Lillian Marguritha Johnson Templeton. Jane graduated from the University of Vermont in 1961 with a degree in Nursing. She worked for the State of Vermont as a public health nurse as well as for the Head Start program. She was also the school nurse for Browns River Middle School in Underhill, Vermont for a number of years. John graduated from the University of Vermont in 1961. He served as a Company Commander of the 131 Engineers, Vermont National Guard in Vietnam, earning the Bronze Star, and retired from the Vermont National Guard in 1992 as a Lt. Colonel. He also retired as a Sales Representative from the Lever Brothers Company.

John Edward Andrews and Jane Templeton Wood had the following children:

+ 1646 i. Ross Donald¹² Andrews was born 21 October 1963.

+ 1647 ii. Susan Wood Andrews was born 28 May 1965.

1648 iii. Evan Edward Andrews was born in Burlington, Chittenden, VT 19 May 1971. He married Susan Lavalette 23 September 1995 in Essex Center, Chittenden, VT. Susan was born 7 June 1970 in Burlington, Chittenden, VT. Susan is the daughter of Robert Lavalette and Esther Barbeau. Sue attended the University of Vermont and received a Bachelor of Science with a concentration in Marketing in 1992. Evan graduated from Clarkson University in Potsdam, NY in 1993 with a degree in civil engineering. He then entered the Army at FT Sill, OK and later spent 3 1/2 years in the 1st Cavalry Division at FT Hood, TX. While at FT Hood he was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 82d Field Artillery Regiment.
