179. Gershom⁵ Beach (Gershom⁴, Thomas³, John², ¹ Unknown) was born 24 September 1729. Gershom died 1812 at 82 years of age.

He married Mary Salter. Line 2209 from GEDCOM File not recognizable or too long: BAPM Line 2210 from GEDCOM File not recognizable or too long: BAPM DATE -- NOV 1729 It is sometimes claimed he married second, Jane Keeler of Pittsford, Massachusetts, but others assert she married and is buried beside Gershom Beach(5) Aaron(4) Gershom(3) Thomas(2) John(1), the nephew of this Gershom. Similar confusion surrounds the claim that this Gershom made the famous "hike" in 1775 to rally the Green Mountain Boys for the raid on Fort Ticonderoga, with some claiming it was his son, Samuel(5), while others say it was his nephew, Gershom(5) Aaron(4). The children below may be incomplete.

439 ii. Mary Beach. The BEACH FAMILY MAGAZINE, Vol. II, No. 1, p. 117, expresses some doubt as the existence of this woman and/or her status as a daughter of Gershom Beach(4) Gershom(3). Indeed, the only description given in her entry is "probably".

440 iii. Sally Beach. She married Solomon Thomas.

441 iv. Maybee Beach. She married Cornelius Gibbs 14 December 1819 in Pittsford, Vermont(?).

442 v. Freelove Beach. Freelove died January 1853 in Rochester, Vermont(?). She married Calvin Emerson 23 January 1814.

+ 443 vi. Samuel Beach was born 1752.

+ 444 vii. Ruth Beach was born 11 January 1758.

+ 445 viii. Aaron Beach was born 10 June 1761.

+ 446 ix. John Beach was born 1766.

+ 447 x. Jesse Beach was born 16 December 1769.

+ 448 xi. Philip Beach was born 1772.
