179. Gershom5 Beach (Gershom4, Thomas3, John2, 1 Unknown) was born 24 September 1729. Gershom died 1812 at 82 years of age.
He married Mary Salter. Line 2209 from GEDCOM File not recognizable or too long: BAPM Line 2210 from GEDCOM File not recognizable or too long: BAPM DATE -- NOV 1729 It is sometimes claimed he married second, Jane Keeler of Pittsford, Massachusetts, but others assert she married and is buried beside Gershom Beach(5) Aaron(4) Gershom(3) Thomas(2) John(1), the nephew of this Gershom. Similar confusion surrounds the claim that this Gershom made the famous "hike" in 1775 to rally the Green Mountain Boys for the raid on Fort Ticonderoga, with some claiming it was his son, Samuel(5), while others say it was his nephew, Gershom(5) Aaron(4).
