464. Archelaus⁶ Beach (Caleb⁵, Caleb⁴, Thomas³, John², ¹ Unknown) was born in New Ashford, Massachusetts 1768. Archelaus died 24 August 1788 in New Ashford, Massachusetts, at 20 years of age.

He married Rhoda Moore 24 August 1788. Rhoda died 1858 in At Age 87. Other sources, however, say she was born 1769 and died 1854. The BEACH FAMILY MAGAZINE, Vol. II, No. 1, pp. 117-118, however, says he was b. 1765 and d. 1811. The latter date appears based on the assumption that his death immediately preceded distribution of his estate that year. His name is also spelled "Archalus" and some records, e.g., the 1790 Federal Census for Massachusetts, give his name as "Archibald".

Archelaus Beach and Rhoda Moore had the following children:

922 i. Amanda⁷ Beach was born in New Ashford, Massachusetts 28 July 1789. She married Samuel Osborn Gregory 10 July 1808. He was of Lanesborough, Massachusetts. Other sources say that the intention of their marriage was published 29 May- 1808.

923 ii. Anna Beach was born in New Ashford, Massachusetts 27 August 1790. She married Miles Beach. His lineage is presently unknown. Their intention of marriage was published 10-Oct-1812. Miles Beach had married previously, c. 1806, Abigail Nash.

+ 924 iii. Atwater Beach was born 4 April 1792.

925 iv. Clarissa "Clarry" Beach was born in New Ashford, Massachusetts 7 October 1793. She married Samuel Osborn Gregory. He was of Lanesborough, Massachusetts.

+ 926 v. Sheldon Beach was born 27 June 1795.

+ 927 vi. Aaron Beach was born 8 June 1797.

+ 928 vii. Preston Beach was born 12 March 1799.

+ 929 viii. Luther Markham Beach was born 11 March 1801.

+ 930 ix. Jotham Beach was born 26 April 1803.

+ 931 x. Harriet Beach was born 26 February 1805.
