279. Enoch⁵ Beach (Noah⁴, Benjamin³, John², ¹ Unknown) was born in Hanover, New Jersey 1737. Enoch died 7 March 1814 in At Age 77, at 76 years of age.

He married twice. He married Susanna Day. Susanna was born 1739. Susanna died 8 June 1777 at 37 years of age. She was the widow of ----- Darling.

He married Hannah Young. Hannah was born 13 June 1747. Hannah died 14 November 1827 in At Age 80 Years, 5 Months, at 80 years of age. She was the widow of Daniel Wheeler. The BEACH FAMILY MAGAZINE, Vol. I, No. 3, p. 70, gives the year of her death as "1857", but this is clearly inconsistent with her date of birth and reported age at death. Rather, the correct year of death is more likely that given above, i.e., 1827. He saw service in the Revolution as a private in the Morris County, New Jersey, militia. Following the was he received a commission as a captain.
