282. Joseph⁵ Beach (Abner⁴, Benjamin³, John², ¹ Unknown) was born in Morris County, New Jersey 5 October 1736. Joseph died in New Auburn, New York.

He married twice. He married Eunice Johnson. She had a daughter, Ruth, by a prior marriage.

He married Kezia Johnson 4 May 1758. Kezia was born 1732. Kezia died 22 May 1778 in At Age 46, at 45 years of age. The BEACH FAMILY MAGAZINE, Vol. I, No. 3, p. 70, however, gives the year of his birth as 1738. He was an ensign in the 4th Company of the Morristown, New Jersey, Militia in September, 1775. He was later made a captain and commanded a detachment on guard at the Morristown Court House from October, 1777, to January, 1778. His son, Asa Beach, served in his company and his pension papers describe both men's service. Joseph moved to Charlton, Saratoga, New York, c. 1791, and later to New Auburn, where he died.

Joseph Beach and Kezia Johnson had the following children:

685 i. Abraham⁶ Beach. It is said he probably died very young.

686 ii. Asa Beach was born 6 August 1761.

687 iii. John Beach was born 1761/1763. He may have been a twin to his brother, Asa Beach.

688 iv. Abner Beach was born 1765.

689 v. Joseph Beach was born 1767. He lived at Goshen, Orange County, New York.

690 vi. Alexander Beach was born 10 August 1768. Alexander died 6 January 1840 at 71 years of age.

Joseph Beach and Eunice Johnson had the following child:

691 vii. William Green Beach was born 16 April 1782. William died 24 November 1862 at 80 years of age.
