He married Charlotte Elizabeth Chase 21 June 1863. Charlotte was born 7 May 1847 in Conway, Carroll, NH. Charlotte was the daughter of John Chase and Dolly S. Gile. Charlotte died in South Paris, Oxford, ME.

Simon Robbins Ellis and Charlotte Elizabeth Chase had the following children:

child 141 i. Harvey Elmer5 Ellis was born in Berlin, Coos, NH 13 December 1865. Harvey died before 1907. He was in Walkerville, Montana Territory on 20 Dec 1887.

child 142 ii. Harry Preston Ellis was born in Paris, Oxford, ME 30 August 1867. Harry died 26 April 1940 in Lewiston, ME, at 72 years of age. His body was interred in South Paris, Oxford, ME. He married Celia Harvey. Celia died after 1940. Harry was always a farmer and lived in West Poland, West Auburn, and Turner, ME for 30 years before moving to Lewiston in 1926.

child 143 iii. Effie Alma Ellis was born in Paris, Oxford, ME 2 May 1869. She married twice. She married Henry D. Howe. Henry was born 1862 in of, South Paris, ME. Henry died 1892 at 30 years of age. She married Frederick A. Heidner. Frederick was born 1850. Frederick died 1928 at 78 years of age.

child 144 iv. Bertha May Ellis was born in Paris, Oxford, ME 7 January 1872. Bertha died after 1907 in of, South Paris, ME.

child + 63 v. Katherine Mary Ellis was born 28 December 1876.

child 146 vii. Ethel D. Ellis was born in South Paris, Oxford, ME about 1885. She married Morris Noyes. Morris was born about 1885 in of, South Paris, ME.

child 147 viii. Rulph S. Ellis was born in South Paris, Oxford, ME about 1887.

child 148 ix. Merton L. Ellis was born in South Paris, Oxford, ME about 1888.
