He married Olive Tuttle 15 March 1807 in North Haven, New Haven, CT. Olive was born 25 September 1783 in North Haven, New Haven, CT. Olive was the daughter of Joel Tuttle and Lydia Bradley.

Harvey Bassett and Olive Tuttle had the following children:

311 i. Luzette⁷ Bassett was born in North Haven, New Haven, CT 15 December 1807.

312 ii. Lorenza Bassett was born in North Haven, New Haven, CT 11 July 1811.

+ 176 iii. Lydia Lucinda Bassett was born 12 June 1815.
