351. Selah⁸ Upson (Timothy⁹, Thomas¹⁰, Stephen¹¹, Thomas¹²) was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 20 May 1776. Selah died 3 June 1854 in Woodtick, Wolcott, New Haven, CT, at 78 years of age.

He married Martha Hitchcock 18 October 1802 in New Haven, New Haven, CT. Martha was born 29 October 1780 in Wolcott, New Haven, CT. Martha was the daughter of David Hitchcock and Hannah Doolittle. Martha died 31 December 1863 in Woodtick, Wolcott, New Haven, CT, at 83 years of age.

Selah Upson and Martha Hitchcock had the following children:

354 iv. Emily Upson was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 24 June 1814. Emily died 28 June 1815 in Wolcott, New Haven, CT, at 1 year of age.

355 v. Emily Upson was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 16 April 1817. Emily died 13 September 1865 at 48 years of age.

356 vi. Miles S. Upson was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 6 December 1820. He married Mary Asenath Hough 20 April 1845 in Wolcott, New Haven, CT. Mary was born 2 October 1822 in Wolcott, New Haven, CT. Mary was the daughter of Ira Hough and Mary Hubbard.

357 vii. Joel W. Upson was born in Wolcott, New Haven, CT 10 January 1823.
