He married Sarah Andrews 7 April 1703 in Waterbury, New Haven, CT. Sarah was born 16 March 1683 in Waterbury, New Haven, CT. Sarah died 5 March 1773 in Waterbury, New Haven, CT, at 89 years of age.

Joseph Lewis and Sarah Andrews had the following child:

+ 1546 i. Sarah¹¹ Lewis was born 20 April 1708.
