He married Hannah Dickerman about 1640 in Wallingford, New Haven, Connecticut. Hannah was born 1622 in New Haven, New Haven, CT. Hannah was the daughter of Thomas Dickerman and Eleanor Whittington. Hannah died 6 November 1665 in New Haven, New Haven, CT, at 43 years of age.

William Ives and Hannah Dickerman had the following children:

3372 i. Phebe Ives was born in New Haven, New Haven, CT 2 October 1642. She married Joseph Potter 3 April 1694 in New Haven, New Haven, Conn.

+ 2639 ii. John Ives was born 29 December 1644.

3380 iii. Martha Ives was born in New Haven, New Haven, CT 1646. Martha died 1666 in New Haven, New Haven, CT, at 20 years of age. She married Azariah Beach 1675. Azariah was born 6 July 1646 in New Haven, New Haven, CT. Azariah was the son of Richard Beach and Catherine (Hull) Cook. Azariah died 1696 at 49 years of age.

3383 iv. William Ives was born in New Haven, New Haven, CT 1647.

3385 v. Joseph Ives was born in New Haven, CT 1648. Joseph died 17 November 1694 in New Haven, CT, at 46 years of age. His body was interred 1694. He married Mary Yale 2 January 1672 in New Haven, CT. Mary was born 26 October 1650 in New Haven, N.H.Ct, CT. Mary was the daughter of Thomas Yale and Mary Turner.
