551. Joseph⁹ Hough (James¹⁰, Samuel¹¹, William¹², Edward¹³) was born in Wallingford, New Haven, CT 1717. Joseph died 5 January 1809 in Wallingford, New Haven, CT, at 91 years of age.

He married twice. He married Ruth Beardslee. He married Catherine Yale 27 June 1745 in New Haven, New Haven, CT. Catherine was born 25 May 1721 in Wallingford, New Haven, CT. Catherine was the daughter of Theophilus Yale and Sarah Street. Catherine died 5 October 1767 at 46 years of age.

Joseph Hough and Catherine Yale had the following children:

552 i. Mary⁸ Hough was born 1746. Mary died 1769 at 23 years of age.

553 ii. Lois Hough was born 1747. Lois died 1749 at 2 years of age.

554 iii. Joseph Hough was born 1748. Joseph died 1811 at 63 years of age. He married Elizabeth Atwater 1770.

555 iv. Lent Hough was born 1750. Lent died 1837 at 87 years of age. He married twice. He married Rebecca Tuttle 1774. He married Mary Pierpoint 1799.

556 v. Lois Hough was born 1752. Lois died 1774 at 22 years of age. She married Andrew Hough 1774.

557 vi. David Hough was born 1754.

+ 326 vii. Joel Hough was born 27 January 1757.

558 viii. Katherine Hough was born 1759. She married Elisha Smith 1783.

559 ix. James Hough was born 1761. James died 1762 at 1 year of age.

560 x. James Hough was born 1764. James died 1826 at 62 years of age. He married Mary Berry 1787.

561 xi. Sarah Hough was born 1767. Sarah died 1832 at 65 years of age. She married Benaja Royce 31 January 1793. Benaja was born 16 March 1767 in Wallingford (V), New Haven, CT. Benaja was the son of Amos Royce and Sarah Moss.
