1408. Mary¹¹ Bates (James¹² Bate, James¹³ Bates, John¹⁴) was born in Haddam, Middlesex, CT 11 March 1666.

She married three times. She married William Hough. She married William Hugh 16 August 1685. She married Samuel Hough 18 August 1685 in Saybrook, Middx., Conn. Samuel was born 9 March 1652 in New London, New London, CT. Samuel was the son of William Hough [Deacon] and Sarah Caulkins_Calkins. Samuel died 14 March 1717 in Wallingford, New Haven, CT, at 65 years of age. His body was interred 17 March 1718.
