He married four times. He married an unknown person. He married Elizabeth Hardware 1580. He married Anne Fox 1596. He married Margaret Allen 13 May 1612 in Conn. Margaret was born about 1578 in Bruen, Stapleford, Cheshire, England. Margaret was the daughter of John Allen and Mrs. John Allen. Her body was interred 29 November 1651 in Chester, Cheshire, England.

John Bruen and Margaret Allen had the following children:

3765 i. Joseph¹² Bruen. His body was interred 22 October 1698.

3766 ii. Margaret Bruen.

3767 iii. Obediah Bruen was born in Stapleford, Cheshire, England 6 December 1606. Obediah died 1680/1681 in Newark, Essex, NJ, at 74 years of age. He married Sarah 1632 in Connecticut.

+ 2317 iv. Mary Bruen was born 14 June 1622.

3768 v. Mr. Bruen was born in Bruen, Stapleford, Cheshire, England about 1624.

3769 vi. Bruen was born in Bruen Stapleford, Cheshire, England about 1624.
