4150. John¹³ Chipman (Thomas¹⁴) was born in Dorchester, England 1613/1621. John died 17 April 1708 in Sandwich, Barnstable, MA, at 93 years of age. His body was interred 7 April 1708 in Sandwich Cemetery, Sandwich, Barnstable, MA.

He married Hope Howland 13 September 1646 in Plymouth, Plymouth, Mass. Hope was born 30 August 1629 in Plymouth, Plymouth, MA. Hope was the daughter of John Howland and Elizabeth Tilley. Hope died 8 January 1683 in Barnstable, Barnstable, MA, at 53 years of age. Her body was interred January 1683 in Lothrop Hill, Barnstable, MA.

John Chipman and Hope Howland had the following children:

4151 i. Elizabeth¹² Chipman was born in Plymouth, Plymouth, MA 24 June 1647. Elizabeth died February 1712 at 64 years of age. She married twice. She married an unknown person before 1676. She married Hosea Joyce 1676 in Ma.

4152 ii. Daughter Chipman was born in Barnstable, Barnstable, MA about 1648/1651. Daughter died about 1648/1651.

4153 iii. (Stillborn) Chipman was born about 1650. (Stillborn) died September 1650 at less than one year of age.

4154 iv. John Chipman was born in Plymouth, Plymouth, MA 9 September 1650. John died 10 November 1678 in Plymouth, Plymouth, MA, at 28 years of age. His body was interred 1708.

+ 2710 v. Hope Chipman was born 31 August 1652.

4155 vi. Lydia Chipman was born in Plymouth, Plymouth, MA 25 December 1654. Lydia died 2 March 1730 in Malden, MA, at 75 years of age. She married John Sargent 19 March 1662 in Ma.

4156 vii. Hannah Chipman was born in Plymouth, Plymouth, MA 14 January 1658. Hannah died 4 November 1696 in Barnstable, Barnstable, MA, at 38 years of age. She married Thomas Huckins 1 May 1680 in Barnstable, Barnstable, Massachusetts. Thomas was born 25 April 1651 in Barnstable, Barnstable, MA. Thomas was the son of Thomas Huckins and Rose Hillier. Thomas died 2 March 1730 in Barnstable, Barnstable, MA, at 78 years of age.

4157 viii. Samuel Chipman was born in Barnstable, Barnstable, MA 15 January 1661. Samuel died 16 June 1723 in Barnstable, Barnstable, MA, at 62 years of age. His body was interred 1723 in West Barnstable. He married Sarah Cobb 27 December 1686 in Barnstable, MA.

4158 ix. Ruth Chipman was born in Barnstable, Barnstable, MA 31 December 1663. Ruth died 8 April 1698 in Barnstable, Barnstable, MA, at 34 years of age. Her body was interred April 1698. She married Eleazer Crocker 7 April 1682 in Barnstable, Mass.

4159 x. Bethia Chipman was born in Plymouth, Plymouth, MA 11 July 1666. Bethia died 12 November 1702 at 36 years of age. She married Shubel Dimock 1686.

4160 xi. Mercy Chipman was born in Plymouth, Plymouth, MA 6 February 1667. Mercy died 12 July 1724 in Chilmark, MA, at 57 years of age. She married Nathaniel Skiff 13 December 1699. <

4161 xii. Desire Chipman was born in Plymouth, Plymouth, MA 26 February 1674. Desire died 28 March 1706 in Sandwich, Barnstable, MA, at 32 years of age. She married Melatiah Bourne 23 February 1692 in Sandwich, Massachusetts.
