He married Elizabeth Foote 1638 in Wethersfield, Hartford, CT. Elizabeth was born 8 September 1616 in Colchester, Essex, England. Elizabeth was the daughter of Nathaniel Foote and Elizabeth Deming. Elizabeth died 1700 in Wethersfield, Hartford, CT, at 83 years of age. Her body was interred September 1700.

Josiah Churchill and Elizabeth Foote had the following child:
