He married Sarah Alling 26 November 1778 in New Haven, New Haven, CT. Sarah was born 1752. She was the daughter of John Alling and Abiah Hitchcock. Sarah died 16 June 1794 in New Haven, New Haven, CT, at approximately 41 years of age.
