44. Josiah⁵ McGlauflin (John⁴, James³ MacLachlan, James², John¹) was born in Charlotte, Washington, ME 20 August 1830.

He married Margaret E. Griffin 24 October 1855 in Charlotte, Washington, ME. Margaret was born about 1834. Josiah first lived on Gardners Ridge in Charlotte. He joined the Union Army and was killed during the Battle of Chancellorsville in 1863.

Josiah McGlauflin and Margaret E. Griffin had the following children:

• 90 i. Sarah Lillias⁶ McGlauflin was born in Charlotte, Washington, ME 21 July 1857.

• 91 ii. Gertrude McGlauflin was born in Charlotte, Washington, ME 16 June 1859.

• 92 iii. Alice McGlauflin was born in Charlotte, Washington, ME 30 September 1860.

• 93 iv. Mary McGlauflin was born in Charlotte, Washington, ME 10 August 1862.
