40. John⁵ McGlauflin (John⁴, James³ MacLachlan, James², John¹) was born in Charlotte, Washington, ME 5 December 1823. John died 6 December 1850 in Charlotte, Washington, ME, at 27 years of age.

He married Ellen M. . Ellen was born 1832/1833 in ME. Ellen died after 1860 at approximately 27 years of age. John was a Free Will Baptist Minister who eventually left Charlotte to preach throughout New England and New York.

John McGlauflin and Ellen M. had the following children:

• 81 i. Josephine H.⁶ McGlauflin was born in Charlotte, Washington, ME 1848/1849.

• 82 ii. John C. F. McGlauflin was born in Charlotte, Washington, ME 1855/1856.

• 83 iii. Jesse B. McGlauflin was born in Charlotte, Washington, ME 1857/1858.
