38. Lewis⁵ McGlauflin (John⁴, James³ MacLachlan, James², John¹) was born in Charlotte, Washington, ME 12 February 1821. He left for California in the 1840's.

Lewis McGlauflin had the following child:

• 71 i. Lewis⁶ McGlauflin was born about 1850. Lewis lived to be 100 years old and found his fame as a violin maker.
