4. Charles⁴ Naylor (James³, Joseph², George¹) was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, England in 1798. Charles was christened 9 September 1798 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England.

He married Mary Merrill 3 April 1820 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. Mary was born January 1802 in Leeds, Yorkshire, England. She was the daughter of William Merrill and Sarah Tetley. On 6 April 1841 Charles and Mary were living on George Street, Bradford, and that also at that address were their children William, a Wood Turner, Joseph a Woolcomber, Hannah, Sarah and Charles. Charles Naylor and Mary Merrill had the following children:
