39. John¹² Openshaw (James¹¹ Openshey, James¹⁰, John⁹ Opensha, James⁸ Openshowe, James⁷, Lamwell⁶ Openshall, Thomas⁵ Openshawe, John⁴ Opynscha, ...³, Richard², ¹ Opynscha of the Schae) was born May 2, 1704.

He married Elizabeth Ormerod in Bury, Lancashire, England, October 28, 1725. Elizabeth was born 18 Dec 1708. Elizabeth was the daughter of Oliver Ormerod.

John Openshaw and Elizabeth Ormerod had the following children:

47 vi. Ann Openshaw was born in Bury, Lancashire, England 17 February 1735. She married Robert Battersby 11 June 1753.

48 vii. James Openshaw was born in Bury, Lancashire, England 25 September 1737. James died 29 June 1808 at 70 years of age. He married Mary Turner. Mary was of Kersal Moor, Manchester.

She was baptized in Prestwich, Lancashire, England, 27 August 1734. Religion: religion unknown. James was of Redvales, Bury.
