70. James¹⁵ Openshaw (John¹⁴, Thomas¹³, John¹², James¹¹ Openshey, James¹⁰, John⁹ Opensha, James⁸ Openshowe, James⁷, Lamwell⁶ Openshall, Thomas⁵ Openshawe, John⁴ Opynscha, ...³, Richard², ¹ Opynscha of the Schae) was born 18 March 1776. James died 19 December 1848 at 72 years of age.

He married twice. He married Ann Haworth. Ann was the daughter of Nathaniel Haworth. Ann was of Heap Bridge, Bury.

He married Ann Shepherd After 1809. James was of Huntley Brook, Bury.

James Openshaw and Ann Haworth had the following children:

81 i. Sarah¹⁶ Openshaw. She married William Shaw. William was of Lark Hill, Bury.

+ 82 ii. John Openshaw was born 1803.

+ 83 iii. George Openshaw was born 1806.

+ 84 iv. Henry Openshaw was born 30 Januay 1809.

James Openshaw and Ann Shepherd had the following children:

85 v. Rachel Openshaw was born in Bury, Saint Mary, Lancashire, England 23 February 1812. [Birth date from IGI, batch #P007052] She married John Lord.

86 vi. James Openshaw was born About 1820. He married Betsy. This marriage left issue.

87 vii. William Openshaw was born in Bury, Saint Mary, Lancashire, England 1 June 1823. [Birth date from IGI, Batch number #P007053] William died 15 August 1843 at 20 years of age.
