109. John B.⁹ Pierce {Capt.} (Joel⁸, Josiah⁷, Isaac⁶, Joseph⁵, Daniel⁴, Anthony³, John² Pers, Richard¹ Pierce) was born in VT 19 January 1800. John died 29 April 1849 in Putney, Windham, VT, at 49 years of age.

He married Harriet Moore 21 February 1819 in Putney, Windham, VT. Harriet was born 1797 in VT. Harriet was the daughter of Sewell Moore and Mehitable Dodge. Harriet was living with her daughter Eunice in 1860 in Putney, VT.

John B. Pierce Capt. and Harriet Moore had the following children:

+ 135 i. Eunice A.¹⁰ Pierce was born 3 July 1820.

+ 136 ii. Abigail F. Pierce was born 24 July 1824.

+ 137 iii. John C. Pierce was born 7 April 1827.

138 iv. Adeline L. Pierce was born in Putney, Windham, VT 13 September 1830. She married Emery Knowlton 5 November 1848. Emery was born 12 March 1828 in VT. Emery was listed as a Mail Carrier in the 1860 census, living in Townsend, VT.

+ 139 v. Harriet Maria Pierce was born 21 December 1833.

+ 140 vi. George L. Pierce was born 8 December 1836.

+ 141 vii. Lucy A. Pierce was born 13 March 1840.
