He married Cynthia O. Stowe 6 September 1827. Cynthia was born 12 Aug 1805. Cynthia died 12 Feb 1876 at 70 years of age.

B. Franklin Pierce and Cynthia O. Stowe had the following children:

142 i. George F.¹⁰ Pierce was born 23 Sep 1832. George died 8 Jun 1858 at 25 years of age.

143 ii. Cynthia L. Pierce was born 22 Jan 1834. Cynthia died 23 Jul 1853 at 19 years of age.

144 iii. Hannah A. Pierce was born 4 Mar 1836. Hannah died 25 Aug 1837 at 1 year of age.

145 iv. Edward A. Pierce was born 4 Apr 1838.

146 v. John H. Pierce was born 8 Apr 1840. He married Flora L. Pierce 22 March 1870. Flora was born 4 Jul 1850. Flora was the daughter of George W. Pierce and Louise Hunnewell.

147 vi. Charles W. Pierce was born 15 Jun 1843.
