37. Susan Martin⁴ Ramsdell (William³, Zephaniah², Abijah¹) was born 29 Jul 1797. Susan died 15 April 1867 in New York State, at 69 years of age.

She married Stephen Wilbur 2 January 1814 in Scituate, Providence, RI. Stephen was born 21 Aug 1794. He was the son of John Wilbur and Sarah Millard. Stephen died 11 Jun 1818 at 23 years of age. Notes: Stephen Wilbur was shot accidentally by the premature discharge of a breech-loading gun, the breech pin flying out striking him in the head causing instantanious death. His young wife taught school and worked hard to help care for and bring up her children. Her daughter went to live among her father's family and the son was brought up at his grandfather Ramsdell's. (From Eliza A. Sheldon; 1934) They resided in Scituate, Rhode Island.

Susan Martin Ramsdell and Stephen Wilbur had the following children:

• 89 i. Maria⁵ Wilbur was born in Scituate, Providence, RI 21 April 1815.

• 90 ii. William Ramsdell Wilbur was born in Scituate, Providence, RI 18 April 1817.
