He married Sarah Martha Campbell 15 November 1846 in Lubec, Washington, ME. Sarah was born 1819. Sarah died 1 March 1877 in Lubec, Washington, ME, at 57 years of age. Elijah was a fisherman.

Elijah Ramsdell and Sarah Maria Coggins had the following children:

+ 945 i. Lemuel⁹ Ramsdell was born 25 December 1836.

946 ii. Emerson Ramsdell was born in Lubec, Washington, ME 4 January 1839.

947 iii. Mary E. Ramsdell was born in Lubec, Washington, ME 1841. Mary died 1870 at 29 years of age. She married Thomas Miars. Thomas was born about 1841.

Elijah Ramsdell and Sarah Martha Campbell had the following children:

+ 948 iv. Sarah S. Ramsdell was born 1849.

+ 949 v. Amanda M. Ramsdell was born 9 September 1851.

+ 950 vi. Clara A. Ramsdell was born July 1853.

+ 951 vii. William A. Ramsdell was born 1 January 1856.

+ 952 viii. Robert Whiting Ramsdell was born April 1859.
