186. Moses5 Ramsdell (Moses4, Benjamin3, Aquilla2, John1) was born in Mendon, Worcester, MA 1764. Moses died 16 May 1834 in Jefferson Co., NY, at 69 years of age.

He married Nancy Lapham 20 February 1784 in Cumberland, Providence, RI. Nancy was born 16 November 1768. Nancy was the daughter of Abner Lapham and Mary Mowry. Nancy died 3 April 1844 in Jefferson City, NY, at 75 years of age. List of United States pensioners made up to Dec. 31, 1787, as returned by John Lucas, Commissary of Pensions; 6th Mass regt.; said Ramsdell disabled by rheumatism and consuption; pensioned Sept. 1, 1782. In July 1798, Moses was living in Whitestown, Oneida, NY where "he lived for 5 years". In 1828 he was still living there. His widow, Nancy, was allowed a pension on account of her husband's service on 8 February 1839, at which time she was 70 years old.

Moses Ramsdell and Nancy Lapham had the following children:

child 310 i. Henry6 Ramsdell was born 1785. Henry died 1849 at 64 years of age. He married Lorena Sweet 1821. Lorena was born about 1800.

child + 311 ii. Knight Ramsdell was born 1795.

child 312 iii. Amanda Ramsdell was born about 1795.

child 313 iv. Mana Ramsdell was born about 1797.

child 314 v. Nancy Ramsdell was born in RI about 1799.

child 315 vi. Oliver Ramsdell was born in Whitestown, Oneida, NY 13 January 1800. Oliver died 28 May 1853 in Huntley, IL, at 53 years of age. He married Eliza Sage 1821. Eliza was born about 1800. He removed to Rockland, Oswego Co., NY.

child 316 vii. Moses Ramsdell was born about 1801.

child 317 viii. Abner Ramsdell was born in Oneida, NY 1805. Abner died 8 September 1872 in Adams, NY, at 67 years of age. He married Lucinda Healy 1828. Lucinda was born about 1805.In the 1850 Census for Ellisburg, Jefferson Co., NY, Abner and Lucinda appeared with the following family:

child 318 ix. Ladimer Ramsdell was born in Richland, Oneida, NY 7 November 1806. Ladimer died 9 September 1880 in Lafargville, NY, at 73 years of age. He married Louisa Dickenson in Bellville, NY. Louisa was born about 1806. He removed to Ellisburg, Jefferson County, New York.
