She married twice. She married Arthur Lyon 1900 in Havana, ND. Arthur was born 30 August 1863 in Black River Fls, WI. Arthur died 1916 in Kallespell, MT, at 52 years of age. She married Edward Engstrom 1921 in Spokane, WA.

Gladys Ames and Edward Engstrom had the following children:

+ 1535 vi. George Lyon was born 17 April 1904.

+ 1536 vii. Laurence Lyon was born 3 March 1906.

1537 viii. Clarence Lyon was born in Spokane, WA 3 March 1906. Clarence died 1906 in Spokane, WA, at less than one year of age.

1538 ix. Infant Lyon was born in Spokane, WA 1907. Infant died 1907 in Spokane, WA, at less than one year of age.

+ 1539 x. Dora Lyon was born 15 August 1909.

+ 1540 xi. Margarett Lyon was born 2 August 1913.

1541 xii. Theodore Lyon was born in Moleton. WA 21 February 1915.

1542 xiii. Elizabeth Lyon was born in Spokane, WA 18 August 1916.
