323. John7 Ramsdell (Zephaniah6, Abijah5, Jonathon4, Isaac3, Isaac2, John1) was born 19 Jun 1772. John died 16 Aug 1839 at 67 years of age.
He married Lucy Colvin 7 December 1800 in Scituate, Providence, RI. Lucy was born 28 Oct 1782. Lucy was the daughter of Benoni Colvin and Elizabeth Potter. Lucy died 17 Aug 1874 at 91 years of age. Notes: John Ramsdell died in Scituate, RI, 16 August 1839 after a short illness which he bore with Christian patience. In his death, as in the death of every good man, society sustained a great loss. His benevolence and philanthropy were wisely directed for the moral improvement of society especially in his own neighborhood, and his zeal in the cause of suffering humanity was based upon the more exalted principle of Christian benevolence. In the domestic circle his virtue shone most conspicuously, and in his death his family sustained an imparable loss, and his neighbors lost a kind and obliging friend. Lucy Ramsdell, his widow, lived on at the homestead to the advanced age of 92, surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She retained all her faculties to a marked degree and was loved by all who knew her. Her birthday each year marked events on the calender, and as many of the relations as could gathered with her each year, also some of the intimate friends."

Kent, RI, at 84 years of age. He married Sarah Fenner 25 February 1827 in Providence, Providence, RI.
Sarah was born about 1807. Sarah was the daughter of Thomas Fenner. Sarah died 6 Jul 1892 at 85 years of age.

Scituate, Providence, RI, at 1 year of age.

age. He married Zilphia A. Leach 24 May 1840 in Foster, RI. Zilphia was born 21 Oct 1818. Zilphia
was the daughter of Elisha Leach and Alma. Zilphia died 5 Dec 1872 at 54 years of age. Notes: "John Ramsdell, one of
the most honored citizens of Scituate, died June 11, 1887 after a long illness. His funeral was held in the South Scituate Baptist Church
and was attended by members of the Covenent Lodge I.O.O.F. of which he was a member.... Rev. Fenner Jacques conducted the service, assisted
by Rev. Nelson Luther and Rev. Eugene Williams."
