39. Samuel¹¹ Wood (Henry¹⁰, John (Johannes)⁹ , Nicholas⁸ Atwood, John Hewson⁷, John⁶, John⁵ Atte_Wode, Peter⁴, Peter³, William², Peter¹) was born in Yarmouth, Barnstable, MA 25 May 1647. Samuel died 10 February 1718 in Middleboro, Plymouth, MA, at 70 years of age.

He married Rebecca Tupper Before 1679. Rebecca was born About 1647. Rebecca died 10 February 1718 in Middleboro, Plymouth, MA, at approximately 70 years of age.

He was christened 25 May 1647 in Middleboro, Plymouth, MA. Samuel probably moved from Plymouth to Middleboro as a young man with his father, and lived with him as one of the first settlers of the town. He was a surveyor of highways in Middleboro in 1673, and held the office of constable in 1682 and selectman in 1684 and 1689 and at different times for fifteen years, and was one of the original members at the organization of the First Church, December 26, 1694. Upon the death of his father an agreement was made between him, his brother, and mother that he should have thirteen acres of upland, this being the place where his father had lived, and a portion of the Tisequin purchase known as Wood's purchase. Samuel Wood and Rebecca Tupper had the following children:

• 51 i. Ephraim¹² Wood was born in Middleboro, Plymouth, MA January 1679. Ephraim died 9 Jul 1744 at approximately 65 years of age.

• 52 ii. Rebecca Wood was born in Middleboro, Plymouth, MA 1682.

• 53 iii. Samuel Wood Jr. was born in Middleboro, Plymouth, MA 1684. Samuel died before 1754 at approximately 69 years of age.

• 54 iv. Anne Wood was born in Middleboro, Plymouth, MA 1687.

• 55 v. Jabez Wood was born in Middleboro, Plymouth, MA 1690.
